Charger For Microsoft Surface
For Surface devices with usb-c ports, you can choose to use that port to charge the device. If you choose to charge in this way, please note that Surface devices can only be charged with a USB 2.0 or 3.0 compliant charger. Chargers that provide 5 volts, 1.5 amps or 7.5 watts are slow to charge the device and should only be used when no other option is available. Low voltage usb-a chargers with usb-a to usb-c cables are not suitable at all. For best performance, we recommend using a usb-c charger that provides at least the same amount of watts as the

that comes with the Surface. For more information about Surface power, see the Surface power and charging requirements below. If the battery runs out and the charger is 60 watts or more, the Surface will turn on as soon as you plug in. If the charger used is less than 60 watts, the Surface must be charged to 10% before it can be turned on. You will not be able to use both the Surface Connect charger and the usb-c charger to charge the Surface. If both are connected, the Surface will be charged solely with the Surface Connect charger. Surface Studio 2 has a usb-c port, but it doesn’t have a battery and doesn’t receive power from the station via usb-c. You should use the power cord that comes with your Surface Studio 2 to recharge.
